Ellie or ‘Belle’ is the daughter of a digi buddy of mine Kirsty Wiseman. Please take a moment out of your busy day to read all about Ellie here and listen to her own message here and perhaps consider if you could possibly help to contribute to this important fund. Thank you.
We bought Laura a Sony Cybershot for her 16th birthday in a few weeks but as it is her 16th and her brother’s 21st joint party on Saturday night, we thought she should have it early to familiarise herself with it and she has been playing. She is very artistic and takes some lovely photos but this one of her and Katie last night is just gorgeous and shows Laura’s lovely straight teeth – she had her brace off 2 weeks ago after 18 months of suffering as she didn’t find it easy and it was painful at times but the result is so worth it and I am so proud of her determination.
I went to a 2 hour workshop this morning run by the very talented Paula Pascual and Julie Hickey. I nearly didn’t go after losing Willow yesterday but my husband said I should and I am glad I did. I had cried most of yesterday and felt awful and doing something constructive helped me today. These are the gorgeous cards we made. All supplies from Craftwork Cards including the fabulous new Simply Sayings by Paula.
My beautiful big boy Willow has just died. He had a heart attack I think right in front of me. I am devastated as we all are. He was just over 7. He was sitting on my bed as he always did and I usually put a blanket down for him so I got the blanket and he got up as he always did to sit on it and I said what a good boy you are and turned around. I then felt him brush against my leg and thought he had jumped down onto the floor but he had collapsed. I tried to revive him as best I could but he had gone so quickly. He will leave a huge hole in our lives. His sister and niece and nephew have all walked up to him, sniffed him and then ran away, so strange. My daughter Laura and he had such a special bond and she is completely devastated.
I have really got into hybrid card making just lately and found some great actions using Photoshop Elements so have challenged myself over the last few days to learn PSE!! I have always opted for the easy route using Digital Image Pro up until now but you can do so much more in PSE. It has been a bit of a struggle but I am getting there!! This is my first attempt at a card base for a hybrid card and I am quite pleased, I will post the finished card later.
This is my Grandson Ryan. I bought him a Cuttlekids for Christmas and he loved it. Today he took it into school for show and tell and took some of his cards too. Everyone was so impressed and he has been asked to make some cards for some of his friends. I was so proud of him, a real chip off the old block!!!
This is my entry for the Tilda challenge blog. I love these stamps and have been experimenting with colouring them in. This one is done with Copics, they are lovely and make such a smooth and rich colour. This is also my first Hybrid card as the backing paper is digital with digital stitching and the rest is ‘real’!!
We had such an awful depressing Christmas and aftermath with illness that we decided today that next year we are going to do what we have always wanted to do and that is not be in this country for Christmas!! We are off to Florida again, we went in March 07 and fell in love and we are going back on 18th December for 2 weeks and when we get home it will all be over – yippee!!!!!!!
