We had the most wonderful day yesterday at Hever Castle. The girls and I went with my eldest daughter and her 3 babies and we took my other Grandson William too. The children all get along so beautifully and Liam was incredible especially considering the heat. Luckily though we got some nice breezes and found a gorgeous tree to sit under with our picnic and it was lovely and cool. The castle was nice and cool too and the children loved the mazes, especially the water one!! They were so genuinely interested and amazed at the history of the castle and the stories of the people and were in awe at the instruments of torture they used. Katie came out of the castle and announced that “the people were horrible then”!! There is a spot at the end of Anne Boleyn’s Walk where we have stood the children since they were tiny and photographed them by the waterfall every time we visit and we have a record of them growing up, so yesterday we did it with the Grandchildren too!! We ended the day in the adventure playground and it was hard to leave, even Laura discovered her inner child again yesterday, it was lovely to see!! I have made a slideshow of some of the pictures. It was so nice to be out and doing something and be genuinely worn out and sleep like a baby last night!!
Hope you all have a great day!
This is my eldest Grandson Ryan with his medal that he was awarded after he took part in his first drama performance at The Hawth on Saturday night. He did so well, he has only just begun to take drama lessons and was the only boy in the show but he loved it and wants to do more.
Have a great day!
I actually managed to work out how to do it too!! A big thank you to DeeDee’s son Jake for giving me pointers to do this and to DeeDee too, they are such lovely people.
Just wanted to pop on and say a huge thank you to everyone who sent me good wishes via my blog or email for today. I have just got home after 7 long hours connected to a drip and feel very sore and stiff from sitting still so long, but glad to be home. I have to say the staff on the chemo unit were fantastic and I was so well taken care of by them all. Thank you to everyone again.
Just got back from seeing the Haematologist, he was lovely. I am going into hospital on Friday to have my first infusion. It takes 5-6 hours and I have to have a test dose first to make sure I don’t have an allergic reaction. Keep your fingers crossed it all goes according to plan for me, thanks.
For my Grandaughter Katie who is 5 on Friday. The one on the left is made using stamps from Alota for the window and settee and Tilda and Rufus and I used my new threading water punch for the edge. I had intended to make the window into a shaker but forgot to put the acetate on before I had stuck the foam tape around the back edge!!! The one on the right is made using papers from Funky Fairies 2 new sets which are lovely and colourful.
My mojo is still missing and I found these very hard to make and am not really that pleased with them. I hope I find my mojo again soon!!!
