Ooh what a lovely day

it has been, glorious sunshine and warm. I got lots of deliveries of new sugarcraft stash and have been busy organising it all. I have signed up for Debbie Brown’s workshop on 4th July in Middx where we will be making this gorgeous creation and it will be for Katie’s 6th birthday which is the week after. I am also making her a princess castle, so she will have 2 cakes!!

Honeycomb Smash Cheesecake

Our favourite Italian restaurant always has this gorgeous cheesecake on their menu so I decided to try and make my own and it was delicious. It all went in a flash so I will have to make another one but it is really simple to make and is based on a Jamie Oliver recipe with a few of my own touches and less sugar!

Back online!

BT has been down for 3 days, so we have had NO internet access at all! Grrrrr

Anyway I have a few pics of some cakes I have made. I am going back into sugarcrafting after some years and these are some of my cakes I made back in the day!

A friend of mine pointed me towards this site Graze where you get sent a box of delicious fruit, nuts, seeds, whatever you choose, to snack on during the day. Good for you and nutritious and stops you indulging in naughty snacks!!

If anyone wants to try it, here’s a code:

it gives you the first box totally FREE and the second box half price. You can cancel whenever you want which is great. Nothing to lose really 🙂 That’s the offer I have tried.

My nail polish collection

I bought so many in the states that I had to organise them properly so got a stand and numbered them and then painted them onto wheels so clients can see what they will look like on their nails. I have a new addiction and so far there are 44 and counting!!

Teddy Bear

I have had these paper piecings for years and when my daughter took these photos of Liam with his Harrods teddy the other day I just knew they would be perfect for a page in his scrapbook using them. My sister always buys my grandchildren a Harrods teddy when they are born and Liam loves playing with his.

M&S Penny Bazaar

Marks and Spencer will celebrate its 125th birthday next week by going back to its roots as a penny bazaar.

The high street giant will stage a three-day bazaar selling a range of 20 products which can be bought for just one penny.

The commemorative range includes jewellery sets, scarves, purses and underwear as well as cufflinks, ties and socks. Other items up for grabs include leather passport holders and luggage tags, tea towels, mugs, retro sweets and drink, beach toys and beach balls.

M&S chairman, Sir Stuart Rose, said: “M&S has been at the heart of Britain for 125 years and we believe that this is something worth celebrating. It has been a tough year for us all but people are fed up with being fed up and we wanted to give our customers a real treat.”

The penny bazaars will take place at more than 300 main M&S stores for three days from next Wednesday.
