I have wanted to make this style of card for ages but didn’t have the large Go Kreate dies. So I set about making the shape to cut a card and layers in SCAL and yesterday started it. I am quite pleased with how it turned out and the Beatrix Potter Two Bad Mice CD had the perfect image and backing paper on it to finish it off.
with my new Tim Holtz dies!! The rosette die and the tattered flowers. Gosh they are gorgeous. The rosette die makes little perforations for the folds which makes it sooo easy and has a little circular top to keep it all together. I was waiting for the MFT rosette die but am glad I found this now as it cuts 12″ in one go as well. I have also discovered Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Dazzling Diamonds and Rose Tea and will be back with pics of my tattered flowers using that!
I have found Promarkers to be much more user friendly for me so was thrilled to find this fabulous tutorial. Go and take a peek it really is amazing. Meesh’s colouring is phenomenal!
This is my card for the Teddy Bo challenge. It is a twisted easel card. I used Blueberry Hill paper and a digi paper from Nitwits which I put an inked stamped edge over. I put a strip of matching paper inside and cut the edges with my valentine MS punch. I then coloured Teddy Bea in with Copics and cut her out with a large nestie, popped an organza ribbon and some gorgeous roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and a bit of card candy. I am not entirely happy with it but then I rarely am!! It isn’t what I first set out to achieve and have to keep trying!! I am still searching for the perfect card to colour with copics and working on my blending and shading – a neverending task!!
Well of course I was first in line to buy these beautiful digi images this morning at the launch of the site!! I couldn’t wait to colour in Teddy Bea – she is gorgeous and I coloured her to match the Prima Jack and Jill paper pad. She is going to appear in many guises over the coming months I feel!!
Using a Lori Boyd digi stamp Ella coloured with Copics and the design is inspired by my friend Andrea. The ribbon is from Ribbon Girl and the sentiment is a digi one from Squigglefly. I cut the card and layers on the Cricut, the files were made by me in SCAL. I embossed the top layer with a cuttlebug folder.
This is a commisioned card for a special lady but it’s secret at the moment!
