We arrived back yesterday, very jet lagged and I have a rotten cold and cough, still nothing will dampen my spirits after the most fabulous holiday we had! Plus I took out one suitcase and came back with 3 – the other 2 were full of crafting goodies!!!
I discovered these gorgeous Pandora style beads in Florida and bought loads!! I made my eldest daughter a bracelet in her favourite colours and with some really cute Breast Cancer Awareness spacer beads.
Dressed and ready to go out for dinner.
Russ & I have long dreamed of owning a Harley but in the UK it wouldn’t get used so we have always thought we would have one over here when we become more permanent but Russ couldn’t resist renting one for a couple of days. It’s gorgeous, haven’t been on it yet as we have had a pool day today but am going for a ride later!
About 7pm our time last night! So excited to have them with us, they were shattered so after a quick meal at Applebees they crashed and slept like logs. We all watched the last shuttle Endeavour go up this morning, it was so exciting and took me back to that first moon walk launch when I was about 10! They have gone off to the Florida Mall this morning and tomorrow we are going to Universal to the Harry Potter World and I am so excited about that!!
We drove to Naples yesterday and boy was it worth it! The most beautiful place, a gorgeous white sand beach, beautiful old wooden pier and wild dolphins playing all around – it was glorious. There was a lovely breeze on the beach too so we all got a lovely glow! Luckily we have come over before it gets too humid here, I can’t imagine how unbearable it would be in our summer months. We have been in March, April and May now and they are all great months to visit. It starts to get very humid from June onwards and the risk of storms increases too.
It has been HOT HOT HOT today! Nothing for it but to sit by the pool and keep dunking!! It was still 100 degrees at 5pm this evening as we went out for dinner!!
This was in Michael’s today with 40% off and I had a 25% Mothers Day coupon too so it made it $15! I will be a nice addition to my new craft room, just wish I had the space in my cases to get the rest of the furniture!
We are surrounded by Michael’s stores here wherever we go and tonight we ate at The Olive Garden near Clermont and there was a Michael’s nearby so we popped in because the girls wanted to get me something for my birthday tomorrow! Well I had another 40% off Martha Stewart coupon and found her scoreboard in this one, so had to buy it, it worked out at $12 which is £7.31 – a steal!
The one I went to this morning I found another MS deep edger punch I liked and bought some bits and bobs for the grandchildren and some other little bits and got 40% off the punch and 25% off everything else! Plus they always give you another 40% coupon when you buy anything so I have 5 left!!
It almost feels wrong to get such bargains, but hey I bought a spare suitcase so I have to fill it up!!
but a little more restrained this time! We went to the Mall at Millennia which is stunning and full of some beautiful shops, Jimmy Choo, Tiffanys, Guess, Louis Vuitton to name but a few and Russ bought me a birthday present from Macy’s – the gorgeous new Jessica Simpson perfume and it came with 2 free bags – that makes 4 free bags I have got so far with my purchases!! We also found a wonderful Chocolatier called Godiva and they did the most amazing strawberry and banana skewers covered with chocolate and huge cones full of strawberries covered with chocolate – yummmmmy!!
and as this Sunday is my birthday and Mother’s Day here in the US – Michael’s sent me more coupons to use so it would be rude not to wouldn’t it?!!!
We did a craft shop today going to Joann’s first, then Michael’s and finishing at Hobby Lobby. I could have bought so much more, their home decor section in Hobby Lobby is to die for! Shame most of it was too large to bring home! I did very well though and had 2 40% off coupons and got 2 more to spend next week!! The large MS PATP sets worked out at £9.36 with the coupons, unbelievable, so I just had to, didn’t I?!!! They were also giving away Martha Stewart bags with each purchase and I got 2 lovely bags and free jewellery cases with my bead purchases too so all in all a fab day! I bought some jewellery making supplies and some gorgeous pandora beads and spacers and a bracelet and am going to make my own original when I get home.
