Laura’s 17th

I cannot believe my tiny baby girl is 17 this Thursday! My tiny ‘bag of sugar size’ baby who fought hard for her life is now a beautiful young woman, Happy Birthday my sweet, darling girl. I hope you get all you wish for.

For me it is a question of where did all those years go?! I didn’t really think I would be sitting here facing my 50th birthday in a couple of months and it all makes me feel very old! Still I do sometimes look at my children and get this lovely warm feeling and feel very proud that “I did all that” because for the most part it was just me and they turned out ok even if I do say so myself!! Mind you lots of other people have said that to me over the years and it is things like that which really fulfil me. I may not have achieved much in my life but I feel very blessed and very lucky to have 5 such wonderful kids and consider them all my very best achievement.

Back to the card!!! I made this cute pop up card and decorated it with a PP Frilly Milly and some punched flowers, jewels and a bit of embossing. An SU tab punch for the bit to pull as it folds completely flat to go in an envelope, very clever idea – sorry can’t remember where I saw it!

1st Birthday card

Going for the easy option again, embossing! FF image cut out and layered with nesties and a little pink flower gem added. For a 1st birthday in a few weeks.

Wedding Anniversary

A very quick but I think effective embossed card using 2 different cuttlebug embossing folders, some straight lines and a couple of sparkly hearts! For my son and DIL’s
3rd wedding anniversary this week.

Embossing

I haven’t used any of my CB embossing folders for ages so made this card using an A2 folder and one of the little square ones which I punched out – also added some straight lines with my scor-pal to one side.

Red & White snowflake

Made with the 2 SU punches stuck onto vellum and glittered and Cuttlebug snowflakes and stars added.

Snowflake Tag card

The snowflake is made from tag shapes stuck down onto vellum and then trimmed into shape. The papers are PP and the embossing is cuttlebug.

Another Cricut and Cuttlebug Creation!!

I am loving this Cricut Expressions soooooo much!! My order with new cartridges, paper pads, tools etc. came from the states today so I am going to have so much fun playing!!! I even managed to get the George cartridge!! Waiting on Paper Dolls when that is released and I have got the cutest set of face stamps for them from Peachy Keen coming too. You have to go and see these cute little faces!! Sad I get so excited over little things like this, but hey – I could have worse vices!!
