Forever Friends are back!!

I adore the Forever Friends bears and have for years. I used to make the little figures out of sugarpaste to decorate my cakes when I was running my business making cakes and I became quite famous for my little bears in bed cake or little bears on the settee (must dig out some pictures!!)

Hence I was thrilled to learn that new stamps and papers are being launched with these cute little guys on so I dug out all my old images and made a card for my Grandson – he loves them too! I printed out the picture several times and made it
3-d.

Have a great day!

Howletts

Russ and I took all the kids to Howletts on Tuesday and we had a fab day, no rain and lovely sunny spells. The gorillas were as entertaining as ever and the picture of the kids sitting in the bus shelter is directly opposite one of the enclosures and we could have sat and watched them for ages, well we did actually!! They also had a gorgeous baby ellie who is standing next to the big bull. Katie had her face painted with a butterfly (well it was pink!!) Laura took a couple of great photos of Liam sucking his thumb (bless!) and Ryan which I just adore, so I changed them to black and white and added some effect to Ryan’s – he just looks so thoughtful wandering along. He is such a darling boy. He is 10 in a couple of weeks and is really grown up now, not Nanna’s baby boy any more. He is so sensible and creative – I often wonder what he will grow up to be.

What I love about Howletts is that you can get so close to the animals. It is well worth a visit.

Have a great day!

A card at last!

Well I couldn’t not make a card for my eldest daughter’s 4th wedding anniversary could I?! It is tomorrow and I used Basic Grey Gypsy papers and my Martha Stewart lace punch to make the strip and the corner. The image is a Penny Black coloured with Copics and greetings made on the PC.

While you are here check out the video underneath this post. I took this on my camera yesterday, Liam had the giggles and it is so cute!!

Have a great day!

Bouncing baby boy!

Liam in his door bouncer yesterday, he loves it!! Can you believe he is just over 4 months old already? He is such a darling boy too, so placid and happy and with such lovely smiles, although he is a real Mummy’s boy (well Nanna’s and Auntie Laura’s too as he sees us every day and we look and talk the same as Mummy so he doesn’t mind us!!) but he really notices strangers now and the bottom lip drops and he starts to cry if he notices someone strange or if someone else takes him and it breaks your heart. He will turn his head looking for Mummy, he is just so sweet and so clever!

Have a great day!

Yummy!

Laura was bored this afternoon so went off into the kitchen and made this – a delicious raspberry jam and thick channel island double cream victoria sponge and it is absolutely gorgeous! I am so proud of her.

The girls are cooking roast chicken with all the trimmings tonight too, I am being spoilt!!

Have a great day!
